Consultation on Admission Arrangements

Endeavour Partnership Trust: Consultation on admission arrangements at Windrush Charlton Primary School for entry in September 2027

Proposed change:

The Endeavour Partnership Trust is consulting on the admission arrangements for Windrush Charlton Primary School, to take effect from September 2027 for the 2026/27 academic year and beyond.

Due to a continued reduction in pupil numbers; we are proposing the following change - to reduce the admission number by 30 pupil places; from 90 places to 60 places. This number is more reflective of actual and future pupil numbers. This will not impact on any pupils currently attending Windrush Charlton Primary School. This will mean that the number of places available for children in Reception in September 2027, and all subsequent Reception cohorts, will be 60.

The other proposed change relates to the admissions over subscription criteria which brings the Trust’s wording in line with the Local Authority. (see P3 of Trust’s Admissions Policy)

A copy of the proposed school admissions arrangements for September 2027 entry can be found here: Admissions Policy 2027-2028

The following factors have been considered in deciding to consult on this proposal:

  • The continued ability of the school to provide sufficient places for local children
  • Future resource planning and management

In accordance with the School Admissions Code, the Trust will be running a consultation on this proposal from Thursday 4th December to 2025 to Thursday 15th January 2026.

Who is being consulted?

  • Current and potential parents and/or carers of pupils at Windrush Charlton
  • Staff within Endeavour Partnership Trust
  • The local authority (Royal Borough of Greenwich)
  • Other neighbouring local authorities
  • Any other interested party who might have an interest in the proposed admissions
